Description: Spurred by the pandemic lockdown, we set out to create an eco-friendly eyewear made from repurposed materials, using old timber flooring and recycled aluminum sourced locally. We modeled the frame after right angle beams, sloping roof and arches based on our family home, avoiding synthetics due to concerns with microplastic in the ocean, since plastic eyewear is abundant in recent times. The RG2046WD is an original, sculptural design that weights only 12 grams with sustainability at its core.
